Reno (Nev.) Gazette

I should like to state for the benefit of readers of the Gazette that no true Christian Scientist tries to force his religion upon any one, not even upon members of his own family. Mrs. Eddy teaches on page 5 of "Unity of Good," "Let us respect the rights of conscience and the liberty of the sons of God, so letting our 'moderation be known to all men.'" Thus, though a Christian Scientist's religion is indeed his whole life just in so far as he expresses divine intelligence in his every activity, genuine living in accordance with Christian Science is ever kindly, sane, tolerant of the differing points of view of others, and includes no element of fanaticism. The very basis of Christian Science is that intelligence governs.
