Christian Science is the most wonderful study in the world. Since my introduction to it a few years ago I have had many proofs of healing. A severe attack of toothache caused me to go to a dentist for an opinion. After examination he said that the tooth was badly decayed, and that my gums should be treated for pyorrhea. At that time I was using a dentifrice which is supposed to be a remedy for that disease, but I never used it again.

Soon after leaving the dentist I telephoned to a Christian Science practitioner, told her the verdict, and asked for treatment. She gave me two absent treatments. Later, as the tooth seemed to be chalky near the gum, I went to the dentist to have it filled. When he examined that side of my mouth, however, he said there were no cavities. I then called his attention to the tooth which three months before had ached and had been pronounced a good germ collector. He looked at it and found it all right. Perhaps my expression seemed doubtful, for he asked me what I thought was the trouble with it. I then called his attention to its chalky appearance, saying I thought it needed filling, but when he had removed a little tartar I saw that the tooth was whole. The next day my sister had occasion to go to him for treatment for diseased gums, and he told her that the disease was pyorrhea, adding, "Your sister has not a sign of it." Recently I had him examine my teeth again, and he said there were no cavities and that my gums were healthy.

I am grateful for this proof that God, good, is all-power, but more grateful that fear has been removed and that human thoughtlessness has been supplanted by thought. I want also to express my gratitude for our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Since the first time the practitioner read the Lesson-Sermon with me, the Bible has been a new book. Spiritual law is unfolding to me through the reading of the Bible together with Science and Health, and through practising the law as it unfolds. For this I am even more thankful than for the physical healing.
