I would like to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. For two years I had suffered agonies with what was termed an abscess in the head. The attacks would last three and four weeks at a time, and I would be confined to my bed with two physicians in attendance, besides trained nurses. I had to be treated twice a day in the intervals of the attacks. A serious operation was necessary, according to the final decision of the specialists, but they promised no relief after it.

One day I met my brother, who is a Christian Scientist, in New York, and he asked me to go to the office of a friend and practitioner. I did so, and when speaking to this practitioner I felt that he had something I did not have, but needed. The next day I was seized with one of the worst attacks I ever had, but I arose and went to New York to the practitioner's office. I was in great distress, and all I said to him was, "I want to be healed and I know I can be healed." He said, "If you feel that way about it you will be healed." While he treated me the discharge of pus stopped, the pain ceased, and I knew I was healed,—as if I had been cleansed and made whole. I walked out of that office a well woman, and have never had any return of this trouble.

That experience occurred over two years ago. I am deeply thankful to God for this healing, and for the spiritual uplift, also for the literature and for the revealing of this blessed truth through our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
