In an editorial the question is raised as to the attitude of Christian Scientists in cases of contagious disease. Whenever there is reason to believe that a child of Christian Scientists manifests symptoms of contagious disease, a health officer is called. If he discovers that the child is suffering from a contagious disease, the Scientists submit to quarantine regulations. This was done by Christian Scientists before the physical examination bill was passed.

The Montana legislature is not the first in the United States to recognize the legal rights of Christian Scientists. Twenty-six legislatures in the United States have definitely stated that they recognize the rights of citizens who may prefer the practice of Christian Science or other religion. The fifteenth session of the Montana legislature was the first to express, through enactment, the right of Christian Scientists to exercise their religious liberty.
