I feel it is my duty to express my thankfulness for Christian Science, since we have had so many wonderful demonstrations in our family. My daughter was healed of tuberculosis of the knee joints just by reading Science and Health, after wearing a cast on one leg and a brace on both legs for many months, and consulting several doctors. The need of glasses, which she had worn for many years, was also overcome, and many ailments have disappeared. My son has been healed of a severe injury received in an accident, of heart trouble, rheumatism, colds, and burns.
My little grandson, who is eight years old, knows nothing of medicine. He has been cured of toothache, croup, and inflammatory rheumatism. His leg was so swollen that we could hardly get his stocking off, but in two days he was ready for school again. The croup was overcome in one treatment, and he has never had a spell since. I have been healed of a malignant growth in my lip, of bowel trouble, typhoid fever, an abscess, diphtheria, and a throat affection. When my arm was broken I did not have it set by a physician at all, but it is good as the other arm except for a little stiffness. After the first night it caused me very little pain.
All these ailments mentioned were overcome through the application of the truth by a faithful practitioner. I am truly thankful to God, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for all the good received,—even for my slight understanding. My great desire is to gain more each day by studying the Lesson-Sermon and the Christian Science literature, which helps us to overcome our faults and be more kind to our fellow man.
