In October, 1914, I first heard of Christian Science and of its power to heal, and immediately began the study of all the authorized literature I was able to secure, and to attend the services of the Christian Science Society. For ten years I had been a sufferer from a bad case of stomach trouble. Every fall colds would set in, later developing into more serious afflictions, which sometimes lasted all winter. Through application of the truth I have been entirely freed from both these conditions, and have been able to overcome many other difficulties, both physical and financial; indeed, I am daily proving that divine Love meets every need.

When I first learned of this healing truth my wife had been an invalid for a year and a half, but through constant study and application of the teachings of Christian Science, and the help of a practitioner for a period of three weeks, she was entirely healed, and is now in better health than she has ever been. Last spring I had such a serious attack of ptomaine poisoning that it was though I could not survive through the night. While both my wife and I had a slight knowledge of Christian Science, we were unable to overcome the trouble, so in the morning my wife telephoned to a practitioner who lived some eighteen miles distant. In a few hours I was much improved, and in a week was completely healed and able to resume my work; whereas a similar attack, occurring about two years prior to this one and before I knew anything of Science, had held me in its grasp for several weeks. At that time I was confined to bed for ten days and unable to work for five weeks, although one of the best physicians in the South attended me.

For these blessings, and for many others, I am most grateful, also for the Christian Science literature, which enables us to get a clearer understanding of the truth, thereby giving us renewed strength.
