About five years ago, while preparing for an operation, I became interested in Christian Science and purchased a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. After reading about one third of the book I laid aside glasses which had been worn for seventeen years for a structural defect of the eyes, and as I continued to read, the need of an operation disappeared, as did also backache from which I had suffered since childhood. These demonstrations of Truth's power delighted my husband, so he immediately came into the truth. I also had a beautiful experience when our little girl was born in October, 1915; and our elder daughter, now seven and a half years old, has made many demonstrations for herself and others.

We are surely grateful for all these blessings, and for the many smaller ones, which are as important if not more so, for each demonstration, no matter how slight, helps to overcome the larger errors. Greater still than all these is the peace and the spiritual uplift that come with the study of the Bible together with Science and Health. My daily prayer is to have a better understanding of the truth.
