For several years I was afflicted with a condition of the kidneys and bladder which at last became very distressing. The thought that all physical manifestations are traceable to unscientific thinking, and that to entertain wrong thoughts is to break the first commandment, awoke me to a realization of the fact that to go on in false thinking was not living up to my highest understanding of the true nature of God, and of His reflection, man. It was evening when this awakening came, and I lost no more valuable time, but at once began to use the arguments of Christian Science, realizing that the trouble was not a physical condition, but only a false mental picture which I was not at all obliged to hold but could discard at once and for good. I asked my wife to help me, then went to bed and slept soundly and peacefully till next morning, when every symptom was gone. Sufficient time has now elapsed for me to know that the healing is permanent.

This experience has added to my already large debt of gratitude to God, that in the fulness of time the truth about Himself, His man, and consequently about the fallacious nature of evil, has been revealed to this age through the spiritual receptivity of our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
