About three years ago I became interested in Christian Science and was healed of heart disease and nervous exhaustion by reading Science and Health. Some time later I asked for help to gain a better understanding of the truth, and am most grateful for the benefits received. I was healed of anemia, from which I had suffered all my life and for which several physicians had treated me; also of female complaint. My environment was such that I had been associated with the saloon business most of my life, but through the study and application of Christian Science I have been lifted out of it; and for this demonstration words cannot express my gratitude.

I had never professed any religion, and had lived in absolute ignorance of God all my life, so Christian Science has been a revelation to me. My gratitude goes out to God for the spiritual uplift I have received. Christian Science is helping me to overcome temper and resentment, self-condemnation and self-justification. It is gradually lifting the veil of material sense and enabling me to see the light.

I am sincerely grateful for the Christian Science literature, and for the privilege of attending the church services, which have been a great help to me. My heart overflows with gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for that wonderful book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," which has enabled me to gain some understanding of the truth. It is my earnest desire to live to be worthy of the name Christian Scientist, and to be able to help others as I have been helped.
