[Written for the Sentinel]

Love's Bounty

Love maketh all things new,—
Oh, let my heart rejoice;
Let me give thanks in word and song
With glad, uplifted voice.

Love's feast is ever spread;
The lowly may partake.
Lo, we have sought and we have found
The fount our thirst to slake.

Love's way is ever fair,
If we but lift our eyes;
Love giveth bounty by the way
And tender ministries.

There is no shade of gloom
In Love's eternal day,—
This let me know, and Truth shall walk
Beside me all the way.
