It is over twelve years since Christian Science was first presented to me. At that time I was a hopeless sufferer from what the doctors called an incurable stomach disorder. For many years I had tried to find relief through various material remedies, but each in turn seemed to leave me in a more hopeless state, and my constant prayer was that I might die and thus end my suffering. For two years I had lived on milk and dry bran, and the physician said I would never be able to eat as other people do.

Finally, in despair and only as a last resort, I consented to try Christian Science. The healing was wonderful to me, and in three months I had gained greatly in weight; but what was better still, I had become a happy woman and had found a God in whom I could trust. There have been many demonstrations of healing in my home since then, for which my gratitude is boundless; but for the peace that has come into my life, where discord once held sway, I am more than grateful. I have found that physical healing is not to be compared with the spiritual uplift which the understanding of Christian Science brings, and every day I earnestly strive to learn more of this blessed truth.
