About six years ago my attention was called to the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. I secured a copy and read it; but finding nothing in it which appealed to me at that time, I laid it aside. Several weeks later, during a lonesome evening something told me to read the book again. I did so, and became interested, and have been studying the Bible and Christian Science literature ever since.

Through this study many erroneous conditions have been overcome. I have not used tobacco in any form since attending a Christian Science lecture in 1912, after having both chewed and smoked for over fifty years, neither have I tasted intoxicating drink since then; but what is still better, I have no desire for either. Above all other blessings is the spiritual uplift that I have received through the study of our literature.

To say that I am thankful for this teaching is to express my feeling very inadequately. I shall endeavor to live so that my life will be a testimony for Christian Science.
