When I think of all the blessings that have come to me...
When I think of all the blessings that have come to me since taking up the study of Christian Science over five years ago, it seems as though neither tongue nor pen could express my gratitude. For eight years a daughter had suffered from an organic trouble caused by an accident. She had undergone an operation which the physician said would restore her to health, but after a year of suffering she was told that another operation was absolutely necessary. She then turned to Christian Science, with the result that after a month's treatment she was healed, and she has been in perfect health ever since. This healing seemed wonderful to me, and wishing to find out how it had been accomplished, I began the study of Science and Health.
For two years I had been under the constant care of a physician on account of extreme nervous trouble. My heart was in a bad condition, so that I was afraid to be alone, and life seemed such a burden that many times I wished for the courage to end it all. Almost immediately after I began to read the Christian Science text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, my health improved. All the discordant conditions which had enslaved me disappeared, and in a short time I was able to attend to my household duties. Among other ailments a chronic throat affection, which a physician told me I would never be rid of in this climate, has disappeared. Two years ago I was healed of acute lung trouble and other complications, when to mortal sense there was no hope of recovery.
I am grateful for the better understanding of the Bible which I am gaining through the study of the Lesson-Sermons wisely provided for us by our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and deeply thankful to God for all the blessings that have come to me and mine through the understanding of this beautiful truth.
