In Science and Health Mrs. Eddy writes, "Divine Love always has met and always will meet every human need" (p. 494). That this statement is true has been proved to me in many instances. I have been healed of fear, superstition, and discouragement; also of several physical ailments. Before becoming interested in Christian Science I suffered great pain at times from a disease which my physician diagnosed as gravel of the liver, but through the power of Truth I was healed of this in two or three treatments. Glasses have been discarded, although they had been used steadily for two years.
Several years ago I suffered a great deal from toothache. I was young in Science then, and on account of a nervous disposition endured the pain rather than have the dentist examine my teeth. Finally I informed my practitioner about the case and asked him to treat me while the dental work was being done, with the result that I experienced neither fear nor pain. With even a slight understanding of Christian Science I have been able not only to overcome various ills for myself, but to help others defeat error, and for this I am very thankful. Business troubles have also been adjusted most harmoniously through this wonderful truth. Although some conditions seem stubborn, I know that God, good, is ever present and omnipotent, and that divine Love guides our steps and supplies our need, if we but trust in Him.
I am grateful to our Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for the Christian Science periodicals, and also to the friends who have helped me on my journey from sense to Soul. My earnest desire is to know no other Mind but God, good.
