When Christian Science was brought to me I was a helpless invalid and had almost given up the hope of ever walking again. For nearly five years I had been lying on my back, in splints, on account of hip disease. Although I had been in hospitals and had undergone an operation, I did not get any better. Then through a friend a Christian Scientist came to see me. I had never before heard of Christian Science, and it was rather a shock to be told that it was not our Father's will that His children should suffer, as I had always believed I was doing His will by being patient, although it was very hard at times. The practitioner left me a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and before I had read far I could see it was the truth for which I had been longing. In a fortnight the splints were removed, and in less than three months I was walking about. I have not experienced the slightest pain since, however much I walk or stand.

I am indeed grateful for this proof of God's ever present and ever operative power, and thankful to Him for revealing His truth to the world through Mrs. Eddy, our revered Leader. My earnest desire is to go on as she did, "trusting Truth, the strong deliverer" (Science and Health, p. 226), for guidance.—Annie Jones, Liverpool, England.
