After ten years of practical proof of the healing power of Truth, I wish to give my testimony of love and gratitude. I was in miserable physical condition when I turned to Christian Science. A specialist had been treating me for kidney, bladder, liver, and stomach trouble, but no relief was experienced. Mentally I seemed in an even more helpless condition. I had left the church in which I was brought up and joined another, but though the minister's sermons helped me for a while, they did not satisfy the craving for something, I knew not what.

To please my mother I attended a Christian Science testimony meeting one Wednesday evening, and such a revelation as it was to me! People told of God healing their diseases, whereas I had always been taught that He sent disease in order to make one better. The people seemed to be perfectly normal, and certainly happier as a whole than it seemed possible for a large body of people to be. As a result of this meeting I began to study Science and Health, and in about six months was healed. The tobacco habit of long standing also left me. Many times I had tried to quit smoking through will-power, but had never succeeded.

In ten years one can have any number of experiences that will enable him to get unquestionable proofs of the protecting as well as the supporting power of God's love. The physical healings have always been a cause for rejoicing, but the peace and joy that have crept into my consciousness, illumining and opening up the Bible for me, mean more than words can express.
