Reference is made to Christian Scientists in the column...

Midlothian Journal

Reference is made to Christian Scientists in the column "Religious News and Notes." From what this critic says, he evidently fancies that Christian Scientists have got hold of a "fancy religion." Of one thing I am quite certain, and that is he did not get his information from Christian Scientists, because they will all say that there is nothing whatever fanciful in Christian Science; that it is eminently a practical religion, able to heal the sick and the sinning, and that there are thousands of reliable witnesses who can testify to its power.

On pages 275 and 279 of Miscellany Mrs. Eddy has written the following: "Christian Science can and does produce universal fellowship." "Christian Science reinforces Christ's sayings and doings. The Principle of Christian Science demonstrates peace."
