It gives me much joy to express my gratitude for all the benefits I have received through Christian Science. For two years I had medical treatment for a stomach trouble, but despite the physician's care the trouble became aggravated. During the winter of 1915-16 I could not even retain milk, and the physician advised an operation. At that juncture, however, a person with whom my family was acquainted came and talked to me Christian Science, and I went to see a practitioner, who declared herself ready to lend assistance. I very soon felt better, and as a result of a few treatments was able to eat any food that was placed upon the table. In two months I was healed.
Since my healing took place, all the members of my family have been benefited through Christian Science. My son was taken with appendicitis while doing military service in July, 1916, and as an operation was expected to be performed, he wrote us, asking us to apply for Christian Science treatment in his behalf, as he did not want to submit to an operation. After a few days he was able to join his battalion. My husband, who for years suffered with rheumatism and was obliged every winter to stay in bed for several weeks, has not missed one day's work since becoming acquainted with Christian Science. My eldest daughter has been healed of neurasthenia. She has also experienced healing after a fall on the ice, as a result of which she sprained her ankle.
For all these benefits which we have received, both in a mental and in a physical way, we are very grateful to God; also thankful to all who have helped us, and especially to Mrs. Eddy, who has given to the world this beautiful truth which heals all our infirmities.
