From childhood I was afflicted with what is known as tuberculosis of the hip and spine, and had had two operations when I was but two years old. When Christian Science came to me I was in great pain and confined to my bed. I was wearing a brace day and night, and the doctor said I would have to wear it for eight years at least. Instead of my days growing brighter, they were getting darker. The doctor finally called in a specialist, who said my only hope lay in an operation; but I dreaded the thought and wished myself away from this world. At the darkest moment my sister asked me to try Christian Science, saying she knew it would help me. When I began treatment I had thirteen open wounds; but these were healed in four weeks, and in six months the brace was discarded. After the third treatment I got out of bed and began to help my mother with the household duties. I have not had a sick day since.
I am full of thankfulness to our dear Father-Mother God for this wonderful healing, and feel very grateful to Mrs. Eddy for giving us this beautiful truth, which has put joy and health into my life. Christian Science is daily bringing happiness and harmony to my whole family, and this adds to my gratitude.—Kathryn Armbruster, New York, N. Y.
