I wish to express my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. I came into it not for particular physical healing, but for a change of thought, as I was doing a lot of wrong thinking. When I had been interested in this teaching only four days a sign was given me, showing that divine Love was already at work. From babyhood up to the time I became interested in Christian Science, a period of thirty-five years, I had the habit of biting my finger nails. My parents could not break me of this habit, and my wife had no better results, although I often felt much ashamed.

I had been interested in Christian Science less than a week, when in studying the Lesson-Sermon one night I happened to look at my hands, and saw to my astonishment that the finger nails were fully grown, as any normal nails should be. This healing took place over two years ago, and the desire to bite my nails has entirely disappeared. For this healing I am very grateful, and also for the better understanding of the Bible and of man's relation to God.
