Through Christian Science I have been helped more than I can tell. For nine years I was treated by specialists and different doctors for stomach trouble, and at times existed on almost nothing. In March, 1915, I was taken ill with what was called deep-seated bronchitis, and was in the hospital a week. After coming home I did not gain any strength, and not feeling satisfied with my doctor, consulted one of the best specialists in Cincinnati. He diagnosed the case as fallen stomach and said that the lungs were affected; that I would never get stronger in this climate. I therefore went to Los Angeles in May, but landed in California broken-hearted at leaving my home and loved ones.

When Christian Science was mentioned to me by a lady, I said I did not believe in it; but after hearing of her wonderful healing I decided to try it as a last resort. A practitioner was consulted, and in just nine weeks I returned home well. Glasses were laid aside after having been worn constantly for nine years. Even with glasses I had been unable to read ten minutes without my eyes paining me dreadfully, but I can now read and study for hours without suffering any inconvenience. I have also taken off a stomach support which had been worn constantly, and have been healed of bowel disorder of many years' standing.

After returning home I was taken sick with every symptom of a severe bronchial trouble, but with the aid of a practitioner I was healed in less than a week. An attack of influenza was overcome in less than two weeks. I have had many more proofs of God's healing power, and seemingly difficult problems have been solved; in fact, Christian Science has met my every need. Although at times to sense the way seems dark, I know all will be met through Truth and the beautiful teaching of Christian Science. Words are insufficient to express my thankfulness to God, but I am striving each day to be better spiritually and to know more of this truth that makes free. I am also deeply grateful to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy.
