About twelve years ago I became interested in Christian Science through reading some copies of the Sentinel which had been sent us by our uncle. At first I read only the testimonies, but later purchased the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy. Almost all my life I had been a semi-invalid, and like the woman we read about in the Bible, "had suffered many things of many physicians, and was nothing bettered." Through the reading of Science and Health I have been healed of colds, coughs, throat trouble, sick headache, and female weakness, while attacks of fever have been overcome with the aid of a practitioner.

There have been many dark hours in my experience since I began the study of Christian Science, but with the help of the Bible, together with our textbook, and by the application of the truth as I knew it, I have been brought through them. My children are all interested in Christian Science and have had many beautiful demonstrations. We are thankful for the physical healings, but the spiritual uplift is more than everything else. We are also thankful to God, and grateful to Mrs. Eddy for revealing to us this great truth. —Eva Skelton, Newton, Ill.
