I have long felt that I should give my testimony in thanksgiving for what Christian Science has done for me and mine. I have been healed of chronic bowel disorder and of almost constant backache, with occasional attacks of lumbago, for which physicians gave me a medicine that nauseated me so that the cure seemed almost worse than the disease. This trouble vanished without any special treatment.
Christian Science helps me in all the affairs of life. We were living in a large old-fashioned house and wanted to move to a smaller one, more conveniently arranged, but could find nothing at all suitable. Finally I decided to leave the problem to God, knowing that if it were right for us to make the change the way would open, and if not I did not want it. After some time of making the best of the old house, a modern one, suitable in every way, was offered to us at the same rental.
Again, I was very desirous of being able to give something to the Christian Science church, which stands for so much to me, but I only had the money for the household expenses, and it was not mine to give. As I could think of no way to earn any money, I decided to leave this, too, to Principle. Quite a while afterward five dollars came to me by mail, but I had forgotten about the church money and tried to use it for something else that was much needed. I could not, however, find what I wanted, and it then came to me suddenly, as if some one had spoken the words, "Why, that is your offering to the church, not yours to spend for anything else." The money was given to the church, and soon the needed article was purchased also. Thus God, divine Love, does meet our every need if we trust entirely in Him, and wait patiently, nothing doubting.
