From Our Exchanges

[The Christian Register ]

What does any good man or woman really want most of all, in the household, in the neighborhood, in the shop or office, in the city or the nation? He surely wants to add all that he can to the common good. The greatest man is he who can give, achieve, accomplish the most. It may be some humble person who radiates faith, hope, good will, and brings so much more light into the world. Now the golden rule is only a single form of this mighty enterprise in which every one ought to be engaged. We will banish greed, fear, suspicion, war from the world by making the law work.
