The first healing I experienced through Christian Science was from tonsillitis. At the time this demonstration was made I knew very little about this teaching and relied on the help of a practitioner, being healed in two treatments. A member of my family did not wish me to depend on the spiritual method of healing, so when he was told that I was having help from a Christian Science practitioner, he insisted on calling a physician. I felt no doubt whatever of being healed through Christian Science, and had no desire to use material remedies. The chapter on Prayer had been my introduction to this healing truth, and it proved to be sufficient. Not knowing just how to work in Christian Science with the practitioner, I asked God to make the healing come quickly, so that I would not have other remedies forced upon me. The answer came instantaneously, "Your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him," and at that moment I was completely healed.

This first victory of Truth over error will light my path through all eternity. Financial supply and the healing of various ills have also been demonstrated, and I am more than grateful for the understanding of God and the Bible that I am gaining each day through the study of this teaching. I am grateful for the literature and for the manifold blessings that continually come to me through Christ, Truth, and that this quickening influence is being felt all over the world. It is my sincere desire to live this gratitude.
