I wish to express my gratitude to Mrs. Eddy for "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures," by the aid of which we are able to realize that God is "the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever," a "very present help in trouble," and "no respecter of persons." About six months ago I had a wonderful realization of this.

I was trying to bend an agate dish with a pair of pliers, when lot of the enamel broke off and a large piece went into my eye, entirely covering the sight. Being alone at the time, I tried all manner of means to get it out, and the eye became very much bloodshot and inflamed, as well as painful. I then realized that I must have help, and still standing in front of the mirror in the kitchen the thought came to me of Elijah's experience, when the fire of the Lord fell and consumed the burnt sacrifice, and the wood, and the stones, and the dust, and licked up the water that was in the trench. Instantly the obstruction was gone and the eye was normal, and it has given me no trouble since.

This healing is only one of the many blessings received through Christian Science, for which I am very thankful.
