With grateful thanks for the many blessings which have been mine since first taking up the study of Christian Science, I would like to send the following testimony, hoping it may help some one to keep firmly hold of the power of divine Love. I first became interested in Christian Science about 1908, when living in Alameda, California, through seeing the change it had brought in a friend who had been suffering from a heavy loss. I took the book "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, and found it indeed a "pearl of great price."

At that time I was a physical and mental wreck, with the doctor's verdict hanging over me that I must submit to another operation, else I could not get well. I have never had the operation, and can testify to the great power of Love and Truth, which indeed lifts us above chaos and dark night. Many have been the ills overcome during these years.

About two years ago in hanging a picture I fell, bruising my shin. It caused me much pain, but I paid little attention, as many other things seemed to come up. About two weeks later I had to take a long trip which required considerable walking, and the wound opened.
