When I first turned to Christian Science for physical healing, it was with no desire to know of its truths, but simply for the loaves and the fishes. Nevertheless, Love force me to accept what was most needed for my growth, and looking back now I can see how through it all, while I had been outlining the way, divine Love had been gently leading me out of darkness into the glorious light of Truth.

I had been looking for material results, but God's way was leading me to seek first the kingdom of God, that all other things might be added. The healing came slowly; at times I almost questioned if it was for me at all, but Christian Science was daily becoming dearer to me and the steps onward were being taken unconsciously. First came love for the literature and the mid-week service, then the joy of daily study and interest in the Sunday service; and so on through a natural progress the way led to church membership and class instruction.

It was not until the last named step had been taken that I saw what had been going on all through the years. Then like a burst of sunlight came the revelation of the progressive demonstration, and I saw that this was the healing, and that as I made the kingdom of heaven my quest all other things were added. As each material barrier was broken down, the next step forward had been taken, and my gratitude to God, to Mrs. Eddy, and to faithful practitioners, for all the loving guidance through the wilderness, knew no bounds.
