With a heart full of gratitude I testify to what Christian Science has done for me. It is now about seven years since I suffered from a so-called incurable disease. I was taken to the hospital to be operated on, but after making the incision the doctors refused to operate and I was sent home to await the end. I remained in bed for five months, suffering untold agony, unable to eat or sleep, and was almost entirely under the influence of an opiate. This was my condition when Christian Science found me. Through the patience and spiritual understanding of a loving practitioner I was led to see clearly that all things are possible to God, so that after a week's treatment I discontinued the use of the opiate, and in three weeks was entirely healed and able to be up and around the house. I can truthfully say, and so can many others who knew of my terrible condition, that I was "born again."

The blessings which Christian Science has brought to my home are without number. I have enjoyed for almost seven years the spiritual understanding which enables me to realize that the Scriptural promises are mine to enjoy. One of my greatest joys is the knowledge that what God has done for me and for thousands of others He is willing and ready to do for all. My heart overflows with gratitude for our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, and I pray to be more obedient to this beautiful truth which makes men free.
