Language fails when I attempt to tell of the many benefits which Christian Science has brought to me. While I did not seek it for health, that was found; for I found God, and where God is there health abounds. I did not seek it for strength, but found that also, for God is our strength. I did not expect to find happiness, but it was awaiting me, for I found that peace "which passeth all understanding."

Several years ago I commenced the study of Christian Science to see if it would lift me out of a condition of mental darkness bordering on nervous prostration, caused by the sudden and seemingly tragic death of a brother who was on his way to meet me. I turned to the Bible for consolation, but found none, for my former teaching had been so different concerning death that it held God responsible. Although I had been attending the Christian Science church about a year, I had not purchased the textbook, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, not knowing the storehouse of knowledge it is. I was advised to do so, and in less than a month this condition was lifted from me, a condition of sleepless nights and days of agony, of such chaos mentally that even the sunshine and flowers and the wonderful scenery of the country through which I was then traveling seemed to mock me.

From the time I realized my relationship to God my entire outlook on life was changed, and through this demonstration began the spiritual unfoldment of my family. My daughter, upon visiting our home and reading Science and Health with an open mind, was healed of a condition that physicians said would necessitate an operation, fear of which caused her to be a sufferer for a year and almost a physical wreck. She was permanently healed by reading the textbook.
