Milwaukee, Wis.—On Saturday afternoon, Nov. 25, Virgil O. Strickler spoke to the inmates of the House of Correction in this city. About two hundred and fifty prisoners were present and listened to the lecture with very close attention; especially was their attention marked after the first few minutes of the address. Christian Science services have been held every two weeks since Jan. 1, 1916, alternating between the women and the men.—Correspondence.

Hood River, Ore.—The edifice of First Church of Christ, Scientist, will be formally opened tomorrow [Oct. 15]. The event will commemorate the freedom from debt of the church organization. The structure, which is 50 by 60 feet and was completed the past summer at a total cost of approximately seven thousand dollars, is on a sightly promontory on the Columbia Gorge on which Hood River is built.
