Seven years ago, while living in Portland, Ore.
With humility and love I write this testimony to tell others a few of the many blessings I have received since coming into Christian Science.
In February, 1914, I became ill and bloating began.
When I became interested in the study of Christian Science I was not in search of physical healing, though I had long been afflicted with catarrh, stomach disorder, skin trouble, and a structural defect of the eyes for which glasses had been worn for some time.
I wish to add my testimony of the ever present help of divine Love.
I wish to express my gratitude to God for Christian Science, of which I first heard five or six years ago through a lady staying in my house, who very kindly lent me some of the literature.
In first turning to Christian Science I did not reach out for the physical healing; it was the religion that appealed to me most strongly.
From early childhood I was never strong, but when my mother, after having exhausted every material means, was healed in Christian Science, I was placed in the Christian Science Sunday school and gradually grew stronger.
For all the blessings received through Christian Science I wish to thank God.
