In June, 1914, a Christian Science practitioner came to our home with an old friend. That day my suffering had been worse than usual, and having lost faith in every one and every thing, I did not think there was any good in Christian Science, so naturally my greeting was not very cordial. But the practitioner had such a spiritual understanding of the all-power of God, divine Truth, to heal the sick, that I was soon convinced of my error. In a few minutes all pain was gone and my clouded thought was normal. When she said I was healed I knew it was the truth, and accepted it with all faith. After such a demonstration of instant healing I could never doubt God's loving-kindness.

I had suffered great physical pain and extreme nervous trouble for over six years, had some internal injury caused by a fall, and had endured great suffering on account of an unusual trouble with my teeth; in fact, I was always an invalid. I had passed several years in hospitals and at sanitariums, also had undergone several serious surgical operations with only temporary help. During my last illness the pain was so severe that I could obtain very little sleep or rest, and could not retain even a small amount of food. I was so seriously affected mentally that I was nearly insane for over two years, and the worst feature of the mental trouble was that I fully realized my condition.

Since this instantaneous healing I have been in a perfectly normal condition. I have also had several beautiful demonstrations of God's power in giving almost instant help from accidents. Since coming into Science the spiritual uplift and understanding of the truth have brought great peace and joy, and I have been given the happiness of reflecting God's love in helping others.
