For twelve years Christian Science has been my only physician, and for over eight years the only remedy in my home. Shortly after taking up Christian Science I was plunged into a condition of deep gloom through the passing on of a little daughter, and it seemed impossible to arouse myself from this condition. I took no interest in anything, simply wished to be alone. Then the thought of ending it all continually haunted me, and at times it seemed as if I must yield to this temptation; but some verse from the Bible or some thought from Science and Health would come to me, and by persistently holding it in mind I would be able to overcome the temptation. The permanent healing was slow, as it took about four years' work on the part of kind practitioners and a loving, patient husband; but I am now a happy, contented woman, and owe it all to Christian Science.

In July, 1913, I was awakened one morning with an attack of what is called gall-stones, and the pain was very severe. As I was unable to treat myself, a practitioner was called, and after five hours the pain suddenly left. I ate a hearty lunch, got up and dressed, had no soreness or weakness, indeed none of the after effects that are usually supposed to follow these attacks, and there has been no return of the trouble. My husband was healed of the smoking habit after having used cigarettes for twenty-five years. One of my daughters was healed of a very bad skin trouble, another daughter was healed of blood-poisoning in one of her fingers. After this last healing a new nail formed and no scars of any kind were left.

These are only a few of the healings we have had. For all of them I am very grateful, but far more so for the gradual eliminating of a great sense of fear from my consciousness, for the knowledge that divine Principle will never fail to heal when turned to with love and understanding.
