For some twenty years I took medicine every day and tried first one doctor and then another, but only temporary relief could be given. Neuralgia all through the body, and especially around the heart, was the cause of the attacks which became more frequent and more severe all the time. After being brought home three times in one week with these spells, for which the doctors could give no relief, I turned to Christian Science. I knew nothing of it and did not have much faith in it, but there being nothing else to turn to, I put forth every effort to learn what this teaching was and if it could heal.

My healing was slow, for which I am now glad, as it made me stay close to the teachings of Christian Science, and I am better for it. While I had many attacks after taking up Science, they were always met with the aid of a practitioner. Dreadful colds, extreme nervousness, and other ills. have been overcome; also a great fear of certain foods has been done away with. Words can never express my gratitude for Christian Science. Just in so far as we put into practice what we know to be the right way, will we receive the blessing.
