When I think of all the blessings I have received through...

When I think of all the blessings I have received through Christian Science, I feel impelled to give my testimony, as that seems the only way to express my gratitude, and by so doing I may help some one else. When I came into Christian Science I used crutches, as I suffered from what is known to materia medica as tuberculosis of the ankle-bone. I had not walked without them for two years, and thought I would never do so again, as that is what the doctor told me, for I had undergone an operation in which one of the large bones had been removed.

I took treatment in Christian Science for a little over a year, as I did not get the healing immediately. I am now glad that recovery was slow, as it gave me an opportunity to study, whereas if the healing had been instantaneous, I might not have studied so faithfully. To show just how my ankle is, I will say that last May I went on a walking trip and covered nearly twenty-three miles of hill-climbing in one day. When I arrived home, I did not have any trouble with my ankle at all; in fact, I was not nearly so tired as were some of the others in the party.

I can never be grateful enough for the practical understanding of God which I have gained in Christian Science.
