I feel that the time has come to tell others what Christian Science has done for me. In the spring of 1910, I was suffering from a severe attack of heart trouble, and according to custom the family doctor was called. Instead of gaining, as on other occasions, I grew constantly weaker, until my parents feared the outcome. I was put on a diet, and forbidden to talk, walk, ride, or even move, for to do so might prove fatal. I was in this condition, a physical wreck, when a friend mentioned Christian Science to me. Knowing nothing of this Mind-healing, I had little faith in it; nevertheless, being in need of instant help, a practitioner was sent for, who called at once. I rejoice to say that through her understanding of divine Mind the case was met instantaneously, and that very evening I went with the rest of the family to the dinner table, and enjoyed my food as never before. The next day I went about the house with a freer feeling than I had ever known, but I kept on taking treatments for nearly three weeks, as there was a great deal of fear to be destroyed. I am glad to say that through the understanding of divine Love headaches, nervousness, and catarrh have also disappeared. I had worn glasses for eight years, and rejoice to say that I have no need of them now.

My daily prayer is that I may gain in wisdom and knowledge so as to help others as I have been helped. It is with a heart full of love and thankfulness to God, and gratitude to Mrs. Eddy, that this testimony is written. Bertha D. Gluesing, DeWitt, Iowa.
