In September, 1910, while at Ocean Grove, N. J., the power and presence of divine Love was proven to me by the healing through Christian Science of injuries received from a fall. My ankle was badly sprained; it quickly became discolored and swollen, and I was unable to bear the slightest weight on it, while the pain was very severe. A Christian Science practitioner was notified, and she began her loving work for me at once. In less than twenty-four hours the pain had left, never to return. My arm was also seriously injured, so that it was completely helpless; from the shoulder down it was quite black from the bruised condition, and much swollen. I was pillowed in a chair, unable to move without intense suffering. The pain was overcome in a few hours, but I was not able to raise my arm freely for some weeks. Friends feared I would never have the use of it again, but through the knowledge of God as revealed in Christian Science, I was perfectly healed, and have never experienced the slightest inconvenience or discomfort from it since.
