I feel that in gratitude to God I ought to acknowledge what Christian Science has done for me. I was a partial invalid for a great many years, frequently lying in bed for six months at a time, and often never stepping outside of the house for a year, sometimes a year and a half. The doctors said my condition was due to female weakness, and at times they would advise an operation; then again they would think I could not survive one.

After my husband passed on, my son, then a young man, thought we had better move to Toronto. I had lived there about two years when a friend asked me why I did not try Christian Science. I replied that I had never heard of it. She inquired if she should send a Christian Science practitioner to me, and I said certainly, for if there was anything which could help me I wanted it. I took treatment just three months and was perfectly healed. That was nearly eight years ago, and I am truly thankful to God and grateful to Christian Science for the health I enjoy today. I have been cured of several ailments since then, and my son, who still resides in Toronto, has been healed of some very serious attacks of illness, one being typhoid pneumonia. His family of three children have been helped many times. We have both taken class instruction and are helping others as well as ourselves. For this I am indeed thankful to the Giver of all good and perfect gifts.
