If I were to attempt to tell of all the blessings I have...

If I were to attempt to tell of all the blessings I have received since I became interested in Christian Science, they would cover considerable space in our Sentinel, so I will mention only a few of the most important healings. When Christian Science was first brought to my notice by a very dear cousin, mortal sense declared that it would be far easier to lay off this miserable existence than to try to drag on any longer, for I had been afflicted several years with rheumatism, severe headaches which lasted a couple of days at a time, painful felons every few months, very serious abscesses, and many other ailments. These all disappeared while I was reading Science and Health, and they not returned in the five years I have been studying this Science. While I am not entirely free from one ailment which hinders my getting around as I would like to do, I am sure that in time I shall be all right. I am indeed thankful that I have been freed from fear.

I have been healed morally as well as physically, but my greatest blessing had been the spiritual uplift. For over forty years I had not looked into the Bible; now it is my daily companion, and I find it the most interesting of books. Words cannot express my thankfulness to God, and my gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who gave to this age the true religion that was taught by Christ Jesus over nineteen centuries ago. My prayer is that I may live worthy to be called a Christian Scientist.
