It is with a sense of true happiness that I give this testimony to the power of Truth. I came to Christian Science not so much for any particular need, as because the "still small voice" led me into what has proved to be my greatest blessing. The knowledge that there is but one Mind, and that God is good, has enabled me to solve many problems, for when the truth is faithfully and correctly applied, it heals, saves, protects, guides, and brings joy unspeakable. Divine Love leads into that path to peace which makes life worth living; and with God on our side, and the joy of the Lord in our consciousness, the mountains melt into mole-hills, and even the mole-hills disappear as vapor, leaving the sweet peace that nearness to God alone can give.

For many years I was active in another church, in its various departments, including Sunday school and young people's society; but in the six years I have been reading the Bible in the light of the teachings of our text-book, "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" by Mrs. Eddy, I have found it to contain greater treasures than I ever thought were there. I am grateful for the spiritual understanding which enabled our Leader to give us Science and Health, which is truly a "Key to the Scriptures." The revelation of God's Word has been to me as the unfolding of a flower and the going forth of its sweet fragrance.

Physically, I have had many benefits. Nerves used to seem to be a great power, till Christian Science awakened me to the realization that there is but one power and cause, and that is God, whose goodness fills all space and whose law is ever operative. Colds used to be frequent and of tedious duration, till I realized that the material sense of things must yield to the spiritual, and Truth has been my physician that never fails. In coming down a mountain trail two years ago, there were all the manifestations of the suffering and lameness that go with an injured ankle; and though the friends who were with me expressed the belief that I would be in the house for a week or more, I found that Truth "is equal to every emergency" (Science and Health, p. 406), for I walked down-town the next day without pain or limping, and the ankle has been normal ever since. My general health and strength have improved so much that I seem to have really "put off the old man," as Paul directed.
