I write this testimony in loving gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me. I had been a sufferer since childhood from stomach trouble, and for fifteen years had suffered intensely from what the doctors pronounced an affection of the spine. Different physicians told me my case was incurable, and naturally I was in a very hopeless condition. I was rapidly growing worse, not being able to sit up long at a time. A friend, hearing of my condition, advised me to try Christian Science; but as I was of a skeptical nature, it did not appeal to me. I was so fearful my case would not be reached by divine Love, that I lingered in doubt for two weeks, when I suddenly realized that something had to be done immediately, as the flesh on my left limb had become apparently lifeless. I therefore hurriedly called a Christian Science practitioner.

I can truthfully say I was healed in one treatment of both the stomach and the spinal trouble. I had dieted for eight years, but since my healing I have eaten everything set before me, and go to bed and sleep,—a sleep such as no one knows who has not had Christian Science treatment. Fear has been banished from my life. It is now over five years since I was healed, and the trouble has not returned. I am trying to prove myself a loyal student of Christian Science, and have depended wholly on it; I am also able to demonstrate for myself very successfully. Every day I am gaining a better understanding of the Bible and of what God really is.

I am thankful to God for the many blessings I have received, also grateful to our revered Leader, Mrs. Eddy, who has made this Science demonstrable.
