In the following I would like to tell briefly of the blessings I have received through the study of Christian Science, and thereby express my sense of deep gratitude, and help some fellow being.

For many years I had been afflicted with a diseased condition of the glands in the arm-pits, often suffering great pain. Upon the physician's advice I submitted to an operation, but after a year had elapsed the trouble manifested itself in an aggravated form, making it necessary for me to stay in bed during a period of six months, with consequent inability to perform any kind of work. After a short improvement I had a return of the illness in 1911, and suffered so severely that I yielded to despair, more especially because I had completely lost faith in medical skill.

At that time I was advised by a friend to turn to Christian Science, and my chief desire being to be freed from the trouble, I made up my mind to call on a practitioner in Hannover. Although I had no understanding whatsoever of Christian Science at that time, I experienced distinct relief after the first treatment, and the results which attended the following two weeks' treatment were simply wonderful. I was able to perform every task without any sense of fear, trusting firmly in God and banishing the trouble from my mind. After two weeks I was completely freed from this ailment, and there has been no indication of it since.
