Birmingham (England) Gazette
In a recent issue it is reported that "Christian Scientists are saying to themselves a thousand times a day, 'There is no war; there is nothing but sunshine, happiness, and peace.'" Christian Scientists are doing nothing of the kind. They, however, know that war would be impossible if all Christian people would obey the injunction of St. Paul, to let that Mind be in them "which was also in Christ Jesus;" which means, to think as Jesus thought on every occasion and in all circumstances. Christian Scientists are simply endeavoring to conform their daily living to this standard.
