It is with feelings of the deepest gratitude to our heavenly Father that I send this testimony of the healing of physical infirmities which afflicated me up to about the middle of November, 1911, when I was induced to consult a Christian Science practitioner and so through God's mercy found the truth. This truth has healed me of hereditary liver complaint, accompanied by indigestion, headaches, rheumatism, and some minor ailments which had rendered life burdensome to me. Not only have I been greatly benefited in health by the little understanding which I have already gained from a study of the Bible in the light of Science and Health, but my wife also has gained strength.

It is wonderful how a knowledge that God is Love and Life and All-in-all, gives one a brighter and clearer outlook, and a confidence to go on day by day trying to do one's best to gain a better understanding of Him who made all things. Though the daily results may appear small, yet we know it is by constant pegging away at the little details that great results are gained; as instance the work of the coral insects, which build under the surface of the ocean for many years before their indefatigable persistence is rewarded in the appearance of the island. I had been seeking Truth for many years before being led to Christian Science, for I was unable to accept the human concept of the creator as a far-distant and fearsome God who visited His creatures with what seemed to me quite unmerited chastisement, and what was even worse, everlasting torment. But now I know that we are punished only by our own disbelief and wilfulness; that divine Love is everlasting and inexhaustible.

How deep should be our gratitude to God for granting to Mrs. Eddy the understanding which has resulted in her book "Science and Health with key to the Scriptures"! May I daily endeavor to prove in my life from henceforth how thankful I am that God has led me into the light of Truth!
