It is with deepest thankfulness to God, and gratitude to our beloved Leader, Mrs. Eddy, that I give the following testimony. Nearly three years ago I came to Christian Science for physical healing. Two prominent doctors of this city had told me that there was hardly an organ in my body which was not affected, and that a capital operation was needed. I then turned to Christian Science for help. I was advised to procure a copy of "Science and Health with Key to the Scriptures" and told that if I accepted its teachings I would be healed. I did as I was lovingly told to do, and the result was to me marvelous. After five days of constant study a catarrhal condition of the bowels—for which I had taken medicine for years—was overcome, and on the twelfth day of my study and application of the truth taught in the text-book, the organ which the doctors had said would have to be removed, resumed its normal condition.

Wonderful as my physical healing has been, the spiritual uplift was a revelation. It has meant a better knowledge of God and man's relation to Him, made possible by that noble woman, Mrs. Eddy, who has blessed countless thousands by her wonderful teachings. My whole desire is daily so to live that I may be worthy to be called a Christian Scientist.
