The splendid crowd at the Lyceum yesterday afternoon...

Port Arthur (Ont.) Chronicle

The splendid crowd at the Lyceum yesterday afternoon [March 17], when the lecture on Christian Science was given, demonstrated that people are prepared to give attention to the claims of this great and wonderful movement that is now world-wide. As we listened to the speaker yesterday afternoon we felt that he had what most of us have not, a confident grasp of a great truth. For two hours the audience sat and listened to one of the most splendid lectures that has ever been given in this city, and the speaker could have held them interested for another two hours had he talked that long. Such speakers seldom come our way, and those who attended the lecture yesterday came away richer and more enlightened than they had ever been before. The Christian Scientists of this city deserve the thanks of all who enjoyed the lecture yesterday, for giving us the opportunity to hear and profit by such a fine address.
