I send this testimony in the hope that it will give some...
I send this testimony in the hope that it will give some one else an understanding of the healing and spiritual uplifting to be gained in Christian Science. I was sorely afflicted with catarrh of the head, throat, and stomach, also kidney and bladder trouble in a severe form, which caused a great deal of suffering. I had rheumatism so that I could not work at times for one or two weeks, also neuralgia of the head, which was very hard to endure. Besides these ills, I was a slave to the tobacco habit, used strong drink, and indulged in profanity. In the winter of 1908 I fell from the edge of a house roof, about twelve feet, and severely injured my back on the frozen earth, but I was healed without any drugs or material remedies. In the summer of 1910 I was kicked in my left side by a horse, and also had my wrist injured. Besides this I was severely injured internally and for a few days I suffered great pain, but I was healed through the understanding of Christian Science. I have been able to overcome high fever, also toothache, in a very short time.
I know that Christian Science can heal all manner of disease, as I have proved its efficiency after spending a number of years in suffering under material treatment at considerable cost. I thank God, also our dear Leader, Mrs. Eddy, for all the benefits I have received through her teaching.—Platt A. Reynolds, Rochester, N. Y.
