I wish to acknowledge my gratitude for what Christian Science has done for me, although I hardly know where to begin to enumerate the benefits received, as scarcely a day passes without some proof of God's presence and power to heal and to save from material ills.

It is over eight years since I first came to Christian Science. I went to see a practitioner, as I was suffering at that time with partial paralysis of the bowels, and other serious difficulties. The first treatment brought relief. I felt a little stronger and was uplifted and happy. In a very short time I could eat anything I wished, and I have continued to do so ever since. The bowels resumed their normal action, and I have never taken any medicine from that day to this. Previous to this I doctored a great deal, but received very little benefit. I gained greatly in weight after I had been treated for a few weeks, and it was said that I had changed so much in appearance that I did not look like the same person.

I had never lifted my baby boy, then eight months old, and when I asked the practitioner if she thought I would ever be able to lift him, she replied: "You can do so any time that you wish to; it will not hurt you. You need have no fear." About two weeks after my first treatment I began to care for the child, and how grateful I was for returning health and strength! I am also glad to say that my healing has been permanent.
