In our desire that all the sick and suffering, the weary...
In our desire that all the sick and suffering, the weary and heavy laden, may know that the power of God is present to heal them now, as in the days when Jesus the Wayshower walked among men, we who have felt the healing touch of Truth upon pain-racked bodies, feel impelled to publish the fact—to tell the good news, that others may be persuaded to turn to Christian Science and find, as we have, that it is indeed the power of God which healeth all our diseases and gives us a sense of man's unity with God. I have recently proved (as many times before) the truth of both these statements, for I was healed of a serious and distressing liver trouble and of mental depression, both conditions being soon overcome by Christian Science through the help of a faithful practitioner. Is not Christian Science indeed the promised Comforter, even the "Spirit of truth" which Jesus said should abide with us? Is not this Truth-healing the "signs" which he said should "follow them that believe"?
For this new-old message of God's love and power, I am grateful to Him, and to the one by whom He sent it in this our day and generation.
Sarah J. Libbey, Ashburnham, Mass.
